Corn Maque Choux
I didn't learn a lot about cooking when I was growing up, but from time to time my Granny would let me into her kitchen, teaching me some of her recipes. This classic Cajun dish is one of them, though I've made it my own by incorporating bacon (or sausage) and cream. Because of the extra protein, we eat this as a main dish on its own, or over rice. It's a great addition to holiday menus, too.
This recipe is from my “Dinner and a Little Bit More” cookbook which includes 77 recipes your family is sure to enjoy. While you are shopping, you can check out my “Krockpots to Kasseroles” cookbook that features 71 easy to make dinner recipes.
