As you might have noticed, I didn’t send out a recipe schedule last week. I’ve been in the final stretch of finishing up my new cookbook and decided to take the week off to get some things ready! One big project I tackled was cleaning out my closet and dressers, something I had been dreading and putting off for months. But once it was done, I felt so much lighter. I didn’t realize how much it had been weighing me down mentally until it was finished! I also worked on a few recipes I had forgotten I wanted to add to this upcoming book. Even though I go over recipes for my cookbooks again and again, there always seems to be one that slips through the cracks. For example, pork steak and gravy was supposed to be in my last cookbook and I completely forgot about it, so this time it’s definitely going in! My goal is to have at least 65 recipes in this new book, but I may surprise myself (and y’all) with even more! This week I’ve got a little bit of everything lined up for you—oven-baked BBQ ribs that are fall-off-the-bone delicious, skillet corn that makes the perfect easy dinner side, a classic bread pudding for dessert, and of course a cozy crockpot meal to keep things simple during the week. I can’t wait to share them all with you!
